FWIW - Experience tells us allowing hosts to do cPanel installs and updates isn’t a good idea. If things go wrong (such as your issue here) they won’t or can’t give you support. In most cases these types of updates can be turned off in cPanel. It’s far better to do any updates yourself, the update documentation is very thorough and it’s quite a simple process.
